Guten Tag, meine Freunden.
[clears her throat rather nervously]
Hell...I've been gone, or "pretty much" gone, from here for so long it feels strange trying to say something again. (I wonder why breaking silence is so hard?) I also feel like a bit of an ass, writing a journal like "I'm BAAAAACK!" before paying due attention to all the people I've been neglecting, but there's something sort of pathetic about really old journals, so I figure I should replace my old blather with new. Why not.

Hum.... Life updates? I'm not sure they're worth much:

--This week is the first of my summer vacation, since up to now I've been dying from the mad-hurried schedule of summer classes. Hence the terrible dA neglect. Despite being a walking corpse, I did well, though I'm too tired to really be happy about that right now. I wish I could be granted about 100 years just to sleeeeeeeeep.

--My sister went to rehab, making my family the sort of White Trash we used to look down upon. But they let her out again, to my great disappointment.

--The Fourth of July was a total let-down this year. I guess everyone is too depressed to set things on fire, get outrageously drunk and butcher the national anthem (as the Forefathers would have wanted us to).

--Michael Jackson is now my constant mental companion. It doesn't matter if I'm not watching the news - he's still there, singing in my head or popping up in odd places. After having "Billie Jean" stuck in my head for almost 2 weeks straight, the other day I was lying on my bed reading The Sandman and listening to my mp3 player, and right when I switched it to the radio they started playing...(can you guess?)...BILLIE JEAN. And, as if to make sure I got the point, Michael Jackson is mentioned in the issue of The Sandman I was reading. I just laughed, and obediently listened to the song. xD Michael said that when he wrote Billie Jean he wanted to make a song with a catchy hook ~ CONGRATS, MJ. You win.

Other than that, my subscription is about to run out. Just in case I don't get another, I'll use it now for FEATURES!!!!
